The COVID-19 pandemic still impacts all fields of medicine, including organ transplantation. Rapid adaptation by the transplant community was needed in order to continue the transplant activity, transplant-related research and education.
The upcoming Exam for Transplantation Medicine will be held as usual, every other year in connection with the ESOT Congress, which will take place in Milan, Italy from August 29 to September 1, 2021. Both, oral face to face exam on ESOT as well as oral online exam will be held on August 28, 2021.
The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of training in transplantation medicine.
As preparatory courses, it is recommended (but not obligatory) to attend HESPERIS course or access Transplant Live (includes online courses, e-books, case studies, presentations from TLJ2) on the ESOT website.
The application for the EBTM exam starts on March 15, 2021. Deadline for application is June 15, 2021.
